James and his crew were punctual and well skilled. They returned to do what was initially a patch job and instead he graciously sealed my entire driveway at no additional cost. He is honest and reliable and he has a steady crew who has worked for him for years. I am REALLY picky and I ask a ton of questions, and my husband asked even more and James answered every one promptly. It is easy to see why he is so successful. He takes great pride in his work and making the customer happy. How many companies can you think of that DON'T care about quality and customer service? I had it in my mind I wanted thinner mortar joints on my Belgium blocks, so I asked the crew to lay them out narrower. Then after they put them into concrete I asked James, "do you think I had them do it too narrow?" He said thicker is better, it makes it stronger. He the proceeded to have the crew remove them and redo the entire concrete setting even though it was my fault I made them do it thinner. James didn't care. He said he wanted me to be happy and I was. He explains the whole process. He first compacts the soil base over and over and over. Then he brings in larger stones to give a very solid base. He then compacts that over and over. Then he brings in smaller stones and compacts that over and over. Then he put down about 4 inches of asphalt which is more than required. The crew was polite and professional and you will not be disappointed if you hire James from Quality Paving and Masonry. His work is great and his prices are fair. James was timely in coming out for the estimate. He and his crew did a great job, removing a huge tree root which had grown under my front walkway and replaced that section of my front walkway, and also repaired parts of my front steps. They arrived at the agreed time and completed the work within the time stated. They cleaned up well afterwards.

James is highly knowledgeable when it comes to drainage and paver repairs. My property sits on an elevated area, and rainwater runoff had caused my pavers to sink. James quickly identified the issue, removed the old pavers, rebuilt a stronger foundation, and installed a new drain to control the water flow. The results are not only structurally sound but also visually beautiful. Best of all, the entire job was completed within 48 hours at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend his services!
